Seattle engineered a stunning fightback to overcome the Los Angeles Rams in overtime, clinching their place in the NFL play-offs.
Overcoming a 30-14 hole in the final period, the Seahawks triumphed by a single point at home, registering their fifth consecutive win.
While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a playoff berth earlier on Sunday, the Seattle team secured their place to the postseason after a 24-month hiatus.
With this result, the Seattle now lead their division's standings with a 12-3 mark, supplanting the Los Angeles, who dropped to the fifth seed with an eleven and four standing.
Action Highlights
Quarterback Sam Darnold had two picks but recovered to deliver two scoring throws, including the tying score to star receiver Smith-Njigba in the extra period.
The Rams held a six-point advantage at half-time before Walker broke free for a 55-yard touchdown run for the home side.
Rams cornerback Wallace then took back Darnold's first interception for 56 yards, setting up a short touchdown by Blake Corum on the next play.
In the fourth quarter, a touchdown from Stafford to Puka Nacua extended the Rams' lead to sixteen points, but Rashid Shaheed provided the comeback with a spectacular punt return.
Darnold then found Barner in the end zone, and a converted two-point play forced the contest into an extra period.
Although Puka Nacua raced in for his another TD in overtime, Smith-Njigba responded in kind to set up the game-winning conversion.
